I took the back off of Savannah’s high chair so it’s now a booster seat and pulled the chair up to the table instead of using the tray. She ate more the first meal after than she had in a while!
It’s of course a mess but I picked up a vinyl placemat at the dollar store to use for her (ours are all fabric) so we can just wipe it off after every meal. The only part I haven’t figured out is a way to keep her lap clean – she will grab a handful of food and half or more ends up in her lap instead of her mouth. We’ve tried separating the food so it’s not in a pile but she still grabs a bunch at once.. Oh well, baby steps!!
