Perfection

Tonight Savannah and I played one of her new games while Marc gave Tyler his bath. She didn't ask for a specific one so i pulled out Perfection  (you didn't think the title was describing the kidlets, did you?!).

Well, it is definitely a hit! She purposely didnt get them all in to make them all pop out, scream and throw herself on the floor lol

Ugly Sweater

Recognize this anyone? The sweater, not the deer in the headlights look..

Marc is calling it Savannah's ugly swearer contest winner...

A Girl and her Tractor

Low and behold Savannah has figured out how to pedal! I saw her on a tricycle at school one day but not moving so I wasn't sure but when I got home from the store with Tyler today she was outside with Marc pedaling her tractor around!

Crib Jumpers

This is what many mornings look like... https://youtu.be/u8dFJwSKrNQ

The Carousel Waltz

Tyler has the same love of music as Savannah. His new obsession is the music box carousel I had as a kid. He carries it around, shows his sister  (who is not as impressed ) and loves of course when I make it move and sing.

L'il Road Warrior

While he has liked cars for a while tyler has now figured out how to run them along the roads. Until he pulls the roads apart and looks at me upset like it just magically exploded! It works out well as they have a bunch of these cars and tracks and more coming for the holidays.

The Alligator

One of our neighbors has an alligator in their yard. He's nice and friendly and doesn't bite even when Tyler smacks hi.. Repeatedly in the head. Everyday we walk to school or the small Park we have to stop to pet and feed him. He eats rocks, twigs and the occasional leaf if it's nearby but never the acorn looking pieces Savannah picks up.

Scrub a Dub Fun

In an effort to streamline our bedtime routine I’ve started bathing the kidlets in my tub together. It works great! They have plenty of room to play and of course it takes half the time since it’s just one bathtime instead of two.

Tyler ends up coming out first as he is still standing up – I give him a couple warnings but then out he comes. And for the rest of Savannah’s bathtime he runs out of the bathroom into the loft while we say “Bye Tyler!” then comes back for us to say “Hi Tyler!” to which he cracks up every time. He brings Savannah and I all sorts of presents from the loft too.. Toys, books, papers to shred.. Pretty much anything he finds out there.

Savannah has been making all sorts of “food” so we can have a picnic. She loves doing things pretend now - everything from pretend picnics to pretend getting hurt (??) and pretend swimming. Tonight she gave me soup, chicken nuggets and jello from her bath tub kitchen  lol

In case I didn't share this earlier, here's an earlier video of Tyler watching the tub fill:  https://youtu.be/6tdsw3SMbbw

And some pictures of our new bathtime:

Tyler's First Haircut

We finally got around to taking Tyler for his first haircut – mainly to rid him of the mullet as we had to do with Savannah. At first he was doing great! He seemed a little confused but he was calm. I’m sure it helped he was in Marc’s lap.

He loved checking his friend (himself) out in the mirror!

Then all of a sudden he had had enough. Nothing happened but he was done. The stylist did her best to finish up and I have to give her kudos even though the back was a little uneven. He was totally freaking out!!

Going to Ella's House

Last week I told Savannah we were going to Ella's house on Saturday. She was excited but told me she was going to go by herself with Tyler.. I asked her how she'd get there and...

Walking with a Tractor

We officially have another Walker! He's actually been walking for a week (or is it two) but I'm just getting around to writing this. He is so much happier now, and we are too! He really is a Momma's boy and holds my finger while walking outside but inside he's everywhere! I of course love it! I have actually cooked dinners and been able to work while the two of them run the "race track" around the house.

TP Rolls and Pom-Poms

One day when both kidlets took naps at the same time I had a few extra minutes and scrolled through a bunch of pictures I'd saved of activities for them. One was dropping balls down tubes and looked like a quick easy one I could pull off before one of the kidlets woke up.

I grabbed some toilet paper rolls, painter's tape and pompoms and started getting them up on the wall.

Savannah woke up first and started smiling when she saw the wall. She asked what it was and I told her to go see. It wasn't until then that he saw the container of pompoms under the tubes and she was over the moon! I dropped a couple pompoms in the tubes and she took over. She had so much fun!

Our little destructor had it all pulled down within minutes of getting downstairs but it was super easy so I can just do it again another day.
