Since our menorah is metal and heavy I decided to make one out of felt for Savannah to play with. The great thing about felt is it sticks to itself so all the candles, flames and dreidels can be moved around (I glued the menorah on since it barely fits on the big piece).
I had a magnetic dry erase board taped to the island with magnetic letters she likes to play with. It works great for a bit to keep her entertained and close (but not too close) while I cook. It came down to put the menorah up so I'm sure she'll notice it! I'm taking bets on how long I have until she puts the felt into the dogs water bowl. :-)
