The first night when Sav met Tyler she seem interested, smiled at him and signed baby a lot but mainly told us to put him back in his hospital bed/bassinet.
The next day when she and Daddy came to visit us at the hospital she seemed excited to see him. We got her to say "Hi Tyler", come close to see him and she even tried to hold his hand.
Now at home she always wants to know where he is and watches what he's doing. It's so cute! This afternoon she even wanted to help with his bottle! And then take it for herself but that's another story..
I keep ending up with a bunch of pictures on my phone (and most likely camera too but I don’t have it upstairs with me today to check) that I didn’t post about.. Partly because the app I have to do a blog post on my phone has a lot of issues and errs out more than half of the time.

So Marc may do a face palm when he sees these as he’s been trying to deter the splashing in the tub but I was totally for it last night when she was counting! For the first one I was holding my phone in my hand so her numbers ended up a little off when I recorded since I had to reuse the same hand to do 6-10 instead of using my second hand (why 9 became 3 etc).
Round 2 I was able to rig the phone between my ankle, leg and her towel (it wasn’t pretty) so the picture is way off center but the numbers are all there!
For some extra adorableness (yes, that’s a word!), a couple pictures of Savannah helping me with yard work.. Which translates to having me put a glove on her so she can stand in the yard and sing to Melanie..
Savannah loves drawing so one of the bath activities I do with her - especially since I can't interact with her as well at the moment - is drawing in the tub. I give her a pile of shaving cream and she goes to town with the wall as her canvas. Or sometimes her toys.. And tonight she put it all over herself. I usually add some food coloring to it since it is white but forgot to bring some upstairs with us. Turns out she doesn't care.
Savannah's school has started sending home progress reports in addition to her daily sheet that details what they did for the day. This is the first one. With the line for what we need to work on with her being blank and the teacher's note that she's doing great I'm happy!
I had been trying to make a onesie for our little boy but having issues with the vinyl. I haven't figured out if it's the vinyl itself, my iron or my lack of knowing how to iron but it's been a fail with both attempts.
Today Savannah had a playdate with Ella and Amy (Ella's mom) had made the onesie for us embroidered! It turned out soo great - exactly how I wanted but better with the embroidery than I think it would've been with the vinyl. And it's perfect for our upcoming addition!
While I was washing dishes tonight Savannah was watching Leapfrog Numberland. Suddenly I realized she was counting with them - to 10! It took me a couple minutes to get my hands Droid and my phone but I caught some of it on video. Next time I know to get it ready before the video gets to the first set of counting to catch it all!!
Savannah and I have been listening to a lot of music lately especially while I’m working. Since our DirecTV is still off I’ve been using YouTube downstairs which ends up being like watching TV in a sense but it’s what we have. The other afternoon I caught her latest dance moves on camera!

We haven’t been going out for too long since it’s been so hot but when we do she always finds something to play with. We had bought a toy for her a while back that was supposed to “run away” from her but never seemed to work right. We hid it up high behind other toys and pictures but she caught sight of it one day. Suddenly it was working! It’s not fast enough to keep away from her of course but she has a blast with it.
She’s been signing baby a lot – not sure if she thinks her toys are babies or hears us saying it bunch..
We’ve been in the pool a lot so there are normally a couple pool toys around and it seems they are more fun on the porch than the pool.
